The house
The house is a 19th century traditional stone-built maison de maitre which sits in a private, completely enclosed courtyard. Behind the house is a walled garden with the newly built pool area. There is also a wooded area and bamboo path to explore. Beyond the garden is the vast private meadow leading down to the village.
Downstairs
Open the door and step into a different world: a stone-flagged hallway with an imposing spiral staircase. Off the hallway is the fully-fitted kitchen with all the usual amenities: dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave. This in turn leads to a storage room and downstairs shower room. The other side of the hall leads to the pool room which also features a card table. Beyond that is the calm living room with sofas, TV and a jigsaw table. The laundry facilities (washing machine and tumble dryer) are in the understairs cupboard.
Bedroom 1: The Master Suite
This spacious master bedroom features a king-sized bed, newly fitted en-suite bathroom with freestanding bath and shower, and traditional shuttered windows with stunning views of the garden and towards the private meadow beyond. Connecting doors (lockable from either side) enables this bedroom to form a family suite with Bedroom 2.
Bedroom 2: 2 double beds
Ideal for the kids of the family or two adults sharing, this large room features two double beds. This is our only bedroom not to have its own ensuite bathroom, but occupants can have sole use of the family bathroom (which contains WC, sink and half-bath). Traditional shuttered windows and views of the garden.
Bedroom 3: Queensize bed with ensuite
Large bedroom with queensize bed and newly fitted ensuite bathroom with shower and bath. Traditional shuttered windows and views over the garden and pool area.
Bedroom 4: Double bed with ensuite
Large room with double bed (standard size) and daybed with trundle which can sleep two additional guests; ideal for a couple with kids. Newly fitted ensuite shower room.
